Band 3 Therapy Support Worker Surgical wards and Amputee Service
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated therapy assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will involve assisting in the delivery of high quality therapy care across the surgical wards, with a focus on supporting patients who have undergone amputation.
This role plays a key part in supporting our specialist amputee rehabilitation class, providing patient support and ensuring smooth administrative processes within the service.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include:
To work with the support and training from the ward based therapists in carrying out treatment plans as directed by qualified staff within the surgical team
To provide support to the amputee class and activities for patients attending the service.
To work with the rehabilitation team in a collaborative way providing joint sessions, or independent sessions planned jointly, as an integral member of the team.
Apply specialist equipment, following training for a defined cohort of patients within the service.
To be able to measure for Juzo socks/stumpboards/wheelchairs as appropriate and record accurately following training from qualified staff.

- 5 GCSE's or Equivalent (inc English and Maths)
- NVQ 3 or Equivalent in a health related subject
- Competent IT skills

- Experience with NHS IT systems
