We are currently looking for a compassionate and motivated Histology Medical Secretary to join our Secretary team at Broomfield Hospital.

Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive Support service to the Consultant Histopathologists, Associate Specialists and Specialist Registrars, and also the senior technical staff within the department within a large administrative team. Processing diagnostic reports ensuring that the patient's journey is processed in a timely efficient manner, in line with Cancer Waiting times targets.

Essential
- To hold GCSE Maths & English grade C or above or equivalent certificate
- RSA/PCR typing/text transcription stage II or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Completion of Medical secretary terminology course/qualification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Previous secretarial and typing experience
- Audio/copy typing ability to type at least 60 words per minute or working towards it.
Desirable
- Previous secretarial experience in a medical environment
Communication Skills
Essential
- Excellent team working skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrating good values
