We are looking for individuals with healthcare experience to join the NHS family helping people from your local community. Healthcare Support Worker opportunities are available in Dermatology (maternity leave fixed term cover).
This role will be perfect for any established HSWs who may wish to experience healthcare beyond the wards, in a busy clinic setting.

Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the nurse who has continuing responsibility, the post holder will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of care to patients attending Dermatology Outpatient clinics at all of our sites including Southend, Canvey and Westcliff. There is also the possibility of occasional rotation to Broomfield. The post holder will also share responsibility for ordering of stock for all sites, ensuring that sites are not overstocked, and will run clinics at external sites under indirect supervision of a senior nurse.

Our aim is to work together in partnership to join up health and care services, improving our populations health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities. One such example of this collaborative work is the launch of our HCA Academy, an ICS initiative between Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) to support the incoming Health Care assistant (HCA) workforce. The academy models a one workforce cross system approach to the onboarding, induction, education and experience of Healthcare Assistants.
Successful candidates to this role will be able to access the additional support provided by the HCA Academy following their induction with MSEFT. This includes development opportunities, pastoral support, staff rewards and access to HCA exclusive resources such as HCA App.
