Job summary
EPUT and MSEFT are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services. The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.

We have exciting opportunities to join the Nova programme in the role of Senior SQL DBA Developer and to be part of our mission and successful delivery of the programme.
The role will be primarily focused on developing Electronic Patient data applications, with an emphasis on quality and excellence. It will encompass all aspects of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of the technology area and will provide consultancy / knowledge transfer within the Patient System Development team; they will have excellent communication skills, be team-oriented and willing to be flexible and eager to take on new challenges.
Main duties of the job
Have technical ownership of a number of live services or components of large-scale services and is responsible for deciding the technical approach for changes as well as proactively raising technical needs.
Development and support of relevant applications to support the Trust and collaborating organisations.
To look at future planning in order to gain efficiencies within the service including potential outsourcing needs.
To review the digital strategy plan for own area of working and provide guidance for new electronic patient record databases.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify service needs and to enable the realisation of business value.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and implement systems improvements to reduce risk and increase patient safety.
Responsible for conducting effective and timely analysis of organisational, team and individual system requirements and producing appropriate application solutions to meet these needs. Smart and Agile working needs.
Able to proactively identify opportunities to improve a service for stakeholders.
