Job summary
We are looking for a Medical Examiner Officer to join our friendly Medical Examiner team based at Basildon Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and work with clinical staff of all grades, HM Coroner's Office, Bereavement Service staff, Registration Services as well as close contact with bereaved families.
If successful you will be providing support to the Medical Examiner team, facilitating referrals to the Coroner and communicating with bereaved relatives.

Main duties of the job
You will need to complete the mandatory e-learning modules online (available on the Royal College of Pathologists website) and demonstrate knowledge of the Knowledge of Coroners and Justice Act 2009.
Maintain an awareness of the diverse needs of users of the medical examiner system to ensure equality to any particular group defined by sex, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or disability.
