Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Flow Coordinator to join the expanding Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service
SDEC provides rapid assessment and treatment for patients with acute medical needs, many of whom can be safely discharged the same day. As a Flow Coordinator, you will support the smooth running of the unit by helping to manage patient flow, coordinate investigations, and facilitate communication between teams.

Main duties of the job
Carrying out basic nursing tasks, including taking clinical observations, recording ECGs, performing phlebotomy, and arranging necessary tests.
Assist in the planning and review of patient care, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
Provide cover for the Ward Clerk during periods of absence to support continuity of administrative functions on the unit.
You will promote, develop and maintain a culture within the Ward/Department in collaboration with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse which challenges and questions practice and promotes the quality of thinking amongst practitioners, actively participate in developmental opportunities and working creatively to develop practice and new ways of working in collaboration with Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
