Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Cardiology team for a 12 month fixed term contract to work alongside the Cardiology management team in providing effective and efficient clerical support to the Heart and Chest Clinic and Diagnostic service.
You will support implementation of the NHS Cardiology plan through providing high quality care for patients with Cardiac disease.

Main duties of the job
- Communication with the senior operational management team regarding the service performance and trends as measured against communicated standards.
- Responsible for maintaining the trusts good relationships with external agencies including GP's and other referrers.
- Escalate as appropriate the needs of the Cardiology service to facilitate efficient service flow.
- Provide an escalation point for staff dealing with distressed and upset patients following Cardiology or Diagnostic experiences.
- Take urgent action on complaints, being proactive in order to minimise the risk of them becoming more formal
