Nursing Business and Project Support Manager

Job summary

The Nursing Business and Project Support Manager is a pivotal role within the Director of Nursing's Office, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Nursing, this role plays a vital part in shaping and driving forward the objectives of the nursing leadership team--ensuring alignment with the Trust's overarching strategy, quality priorities, compliance standards, and business plans.

This is a high-impact position that requires confident, forward-thinking leadership. The post holder will take the lead on a diverse portfolio of projects, acting as a key representative of the Director of Nursing's Office. With responsibility for the development, coordination, and delivery of strategic workstreams, the role demands strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines and defined budgets.

Main duties of the job

This role provides operational and strategic support to the Director and Deputy Director of Nursing, managing communications, projects, and day-to-day operational issues. It involves leading and coordinating multiple work-streams, projects, and stakeholder groups to deliver nursing and patient safety initiatives across the Trust.

The post holder tracks project progress, oversees compliance with governance frameworks, and ensures effective communication between the Nursing Directorate and staff. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing policies, managing resources and budgets, and supporting recruitment and staff development activities. Additionally, the role involves gathering, analysing, and presenting data to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
