Job summary

Exciting secondment opportunity for a 1.0wte Band 8a Service Manager in the MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient Service in a fixed term position until 17th June 2026.

The role is based at Southend University Hospital and will involve working closely with all MSEFT MSK physiotherapy outpatient services in the South East Essex area.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Operational management of Southend MSK outpatient Physiotherapy services which include the SPoA, Front door MSK services, Satellite and Southend services
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Service KPIs
  • Budget management for the service
  • Manage recruitment and retention of outpatient staff
  • Lead on service development
  • Support Clinical Lead with standardisation of service across the MSE
  • Support governance and ensure compliance with standards
  • Deal with complaints
  • Assess and manage a complex clinical caseload
