Job summary
We are delighted to be looking at appointing a Band 5 Dietitian/ Band 6 Specialist Dietitian (depending on experience) to work at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. You will be offered either a band 5 with development opportunities to work towards a band 6 pending completion of competencies or a Band 6 depending on experience.
We would love you to join our friendly team in this nutrition support role to help you expand your knowledge in many specialist areas with both in patients and outpatients .
You will join an enthusiastic and motivated dietetic team who cover many clinical specialities in the hospital .
You will have ongoing support from senior members of the team and opportunity to shadow and develop clinical skills in many speciality areas .
You will be working within established multidisciplinary teams providing expert nutritional advice to patients while supporting and educating the wider team to provide patient centred care. There will be support in all areas from Advanced Specialist Dietitians to facilitate your learning.
Main duties of the job
Work as an autonomous Specialist Dietitian and provide a comprehensive and effective dietetic service.
You will work very closely with the multi-disciplinary teams.
Provide assessment, management and education for patients requiring specialist dietetic and nutrition intervention.
You will provide training and advice to health care professionals on the dietary management of their patients.
Audit and evaluate the outcome of the service provided.
