You will be part of a team of research nurses, clinical research practitioners and administrative staff providing a comprehensive clinical research support service (including covid research). The role will involve recruitment, education, and monitoring of research participants into various research studies, along with the collection and documentation of accurate data. The post holder will be expected to put in place clear recruitment and retention strategies for participants
Main duties of the job
To act as point of contact for research participants before, during and after study participation.
To attend multi-disciplinary team meetings (MDT) and/or equivalent and appropriate clinics to operate as a research resource to Trust staff.
To provide complex information required for patients/participants to make an informed decision about their participation in research studies.
To provide support for research colleagues and to attend meetings relevant to the post.
To liaise with Trust support services as required by the research protocol to ensure safe and efficient running of the study.
To keep all relevant staff informed of the progress of research studies.
