Job summary
We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join our MSEFT Breast Services.
We are supported within dedicated breast units in each of the three acute hospitals, Basildon, Broomfield and Southend. In 2022 1370 people were diagnosed with breast cancer, making this one of the largest breast units within the UK.
Oncoplastic breast surgery is performed on all sites within a dedicated day surgery unit where the stability of regular anaesthetic, theatre and ward staff support allows for a very high day case rate for all procedures.
Alongside the Breast Unit is the internationally famous St Andrew's Department of Plastic Surgery on the Broomfield site. There is a healthy working relationship between the breast and plastic surgeons. The breast surgeons perform their own implant and pedicled flap based reconstructions and the plastic surgeons perform up to 300 free flap reconstructions per annum for the local and regional breast units. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the plastic surgeons.
So, if you are looking for your next step in your medical career, we want to hear from you today.
