Job summary
1. To coordinate patient details and notes for referral and the validation of the clinic list, including sending letters and processing responses.
2. Responsible for the organisation of appropriate and timely admissions, offering the patients awaiting appointments options of availability.
3. Communicating and managing enquiries from members of the public, consultants and managers.
4. Ensuring that patients have the correct information, both verbal and written regarding their TCI date.
5. Ensures that data held on EPR is validated, accurate and kept up-to-date.
6. Taking steps to identify inaccurate information or data quality issues and amending and improving information quality where necessary.
7. Adhering to trust policy and in line with protocol.
8. They will support the admitting and discharging of patients using electronic systems such as EPR and TOMCAT. Ensuring all data is entered accordingly and accurately.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide the highest standard of care for the patients and their families by ensuring that an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the patients
2. To assist the qualified nurse to plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual patients and assisting other staff in this activity if required,
3. Follow guidelines on maintaining patient's notes and documents, ensuring legibility and accuracy of nursing records, to be aware of the legal implications of these documents.
4. Admit patients into the Catheter labs as required, confirming their identity, using the WHO check list and completing the necessary documentation

9. Undertake other clerical duties and support senior staff as requested by the Manager/Administrator and after discussion with the above.
