Job summary

We are actively looking to recruit an Antenatal and Newborn Screening Failsafe Administrator to join our team based at our Broomfield Hospital site.

An Antenatal and Newborn Screening Failsafe Administrator works as part of the multi-skilled administrative support team, across the Maternity Units, undertaking a broad range of activities relating to all aspects of patient administration, in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of the Trust.

To ensure all women and newborn's in the Mid Essex area are offered and receive high quality antenatal and newborn screening. Along with relevant immunisations through the accurate maintenance of a failsafe system.

Main duties of the job

To adhere to the commissioned antenatal and newborn failsafe service specification between NHS Mid Essex and Mid Essex Hospitals TrustTo ensure that the failsafe system is maintained and be responsible for ensuring all women booked have a data entry for each screening programme and identify missing data are actioned accordingly.Ensure women/birthing person receive appointment within the correct timeframe set out by the national screening programme.Daily audit of all data capture and escalation of any issues to the ANNB Screening Midwife when women have not been screened.Escalation of issues with newborn screening should be in accordance with failsafe policiesEnsure each component of antenatal and newborn screening programme has an agreed failsafe policy/procedure in accordance with national screening committee guidelines. Co-ordinate production and updating of these policies with the ANNB Screening Midwife and Head of MidwiferyTo ensure that all women and babies requiring a vaccination following screening have been referred to the relevant service for immunisationLiaise with Primary Care Team when necessary to complete data capture for women or babies completing vaccination programmes in the community
