Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist special interest in BCSP and Endoscopy.
This is an MSE Consultant appointment, specialising in endoscopy. Ability to work cross site is essential.
You will require a broad experience of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy as well as management of GI bleeding and endoscopy related complications. The successful candidate would ideally have a subspecialty interest in BCSP and management of complex polyps. You will contribute to training within MSE endoscopy services and contribute to audit and service improvement plans in line with JAG and BCSP. Opportunities to do clinic may be available either with an endoscopy angle or an angle suited to the appointed candidate and to the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
Work duties may include (list not exhaustive)
5-6 endoscopy lists cross site per week including BCSP and advanced EMR lists.
Out of hours GI bleed cover or weekend elective lists (1 in 6 approximately)
Complex polyp MDTVetting and triage of endoscopy referrals
Endoscopy audit and Governance in line with JAG and BCSP
