Job summary
Applications are invited for a full time post of FY2 in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
You will gain experience of working in a busy DGH as well as gaining experience in orthopaedic surgery and trauma. The successful candidate will also participate in the on call rota along with the current trainees.
Candidates will require full registration with the General Medical Council. You will be encouraged to develop clinical, managerial and educational skills within the Trust.

Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services and will share Consultant colleagues in the medical contribution to management.
Subject to the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Service, you areexpected to observe Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust agreed policies and procedures, drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters.
You will be expected to make sure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of your patients to be able to contact you when necessary.
All medical and dental staff employed by heath authorities are expected to comply with appropriate health and safety policies.
