Job summary

Become an integral part of the Broomfield Community Maternity Team, based at the Chelmsford Central Health Hub, where you'll contribute to providing exceptional care for expectant mothers and their families.

In this role, you'll take on a variety of administrative responsibilities, including managing patient records, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient information.

You'll work closely with healthcare professionals, playing a vital role in supporting the delivery of seamless maternity services. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the Trust's policies, procedures, and high standards. Main duties of the job

Provide a comprehensive, efficient, and effective administrative service within prescribed timescales.

Ensure that maternity documents are accurately prepared and processed.

Telephone enquiries are effectively and efficiently handled, and advice is sought where appropriate.

Effective communication is maintained within the maternity team between the multidisciplinary team, other colleagues, patients, and visitors.

To ensure that all appointments are made in a timely fashion.

Process maternity referrals.

Arrange dating scans.

Provide admin support to maternity staff.

Use computer systems as needed for booking appointments, cashing up clinics and completing referrals to support clinicians in providing excellent patient care and services.

Visit coordination and support to community midwives and MCAs to provide telephone support and check ins to lone workers during home visits.
