Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Charge Nurse supporting our Endoscopy service at Orsett community site.

You will support and deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources. You will also carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the Endoscopy Unit which would include admission, recovery, procedure rooms, pre assessment, audits and in patient referral management.

As the service grows we are expecting the service to move to Pitsea Community Diagnostic Centre in 2027.

You will ensure all flexible endoscopes and other specialised equipment within the Trust are decontaminated and maintained in accordance to agreed guidelines.

  • Demonstrate effective communication with all staff ensuring dissemination and exchange of information. Ensure good communications exist between all health care professionals to promote harmonious working relationships and safe working practices.
