Job summary

If successful, you will plan and monitor requests for change, updates and supporting users through the entire roster cycle. Coordinating team effort and resources, ensuring timely delivery, improving best practice and delivering a quality assured and expert level service to end users.

Your role will help ensure that the Trust operates a safe, consistent and cost effective Rostering service, with a focus on quality and patient safety, working closely with the temporary staffing service to support safe workforce models through effective planning and deployment of resources and challenging instances of poor or inadequate planning through the use of evidence based data and reference to best practice.

You will also, provide support to the team in order to deliver an effective, efficient and customer focused service, which meets the changing needs of the NHS, the organisation, managers, employees and members of the public.

Main duties of the job

If successful, some of your duties will include:

  • Working with clinical and corporate teams to review demand templates and support the outreach work of the Senior Advisors. Review patient acuity and support seasonal variation including surge activity.
  • Reviewing and distributing complex and volume operational data across all rostered staff-groups which contribute to the overall effectiveness of planned rosters including reference to Safe Care patient acuity and planned demand.
  • Working closely with the ER advisory team to understand and implement service and structure organisational changes execute the changes in a timely manner.
  • Travelling to any one of the MSE sites as required for meetings and to interact with clinical and corporate colleagues, supporting clinical requirements during surge/escalation activity, intake of newly qualified staff and planned service changes.
