Job summary

If successful, you will provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient rostering management service in conjunction with the senior nurse site leadership teams to ensure that all services are safely staffed.

You will also support and actively participate the Trusts annual safer staffing nursing tool which is a mandated Board requirement.

Your role will be pivotal to ensuring that the Trusts within MSE operates a safe, consistent and cost-effective eRostering service, working closely with the temporary staffing service to support safe workforce models through effective planning and deployment of resources. The service should be fully compliant with national guidelines and local policy requirements, including Carter and NHSI standards of attainment in e-Rostering.

Main duties of the job

To provide regular reports to key stakeholders and develop clear communication strategy for Safer Staffing and Rostering compliance.

To Chair or establish appropriate operational forums that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the e-rostering function.

To develop and maintain professional working relationships with nursing, operational managers, clinical leads and other senior staff as appropriate to ensure staffing plans meet the needs of the service and reflect activity and patient acuity.

Provide Networking with other Roster Managers across the East of England network to share knowledge and discuss best practice and implement viable solutions within the internal functions for all staff groups.
