We are seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurses with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers a unique opportunity to support patients in managing their dialysis treatment at home, providing education, training, and ongoing clinical support. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team.
We will provide the in-house training you require to safely carry out your role in dialysis which includes specific dialysis training and further development opportunities within your role.

Main duties of the job
o Assessing, planning, and delivering haemodialysis treatment in accordance with individual patient needs.
o Monitoring patients' vital signs and dialysis efficiency throughout treatment.
o Administering prescribed medications, including anticoagulants like heparin.
o Ensuring the correct functioning of dialysis machines and troubleshooting technical issues.
o Educating patients and their families about dialysis procedures, fluid management, and dietary restrictions.
o Providing psychological and emotional support to patients undergoing long-term dialysis.
o Encouraging patient self-care and independence where appropriate.
o Adhering to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of complications.
o Ensuring safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
o Maintaining accurate documentation and updating patient records in compliance with NHS standards.
o Working closely with nephrologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
o Communicating patient progress and concerns with the wider renal team.
o Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
o Keeping up to date with advancements in renal nursing and dialysis technology.
o Supervising and mentoring junior staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants.
