An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team within the Financial Management department.
This is a secondment opportunity into the Deputy Finance Manager role aas a development post. The role provides proactive financial support to the Basildon Hospital stie, including ED, Medicine, Cardiology, CTC.
This is an agile working role within the Finance team.
You will report to the Finance Manager and will work closely with the FM Reporting Hub as well as budget holders and managers within Corporate Services and Clinical Divisions.
Main duties of the job
To assist in providing direct financial support to the assigned directorates ensuring full compliance with financial best practice, specifically in relation to:
- Budget setting and reporting
- Forecasting of expenditure, activity and income
- Maximisation of income
- Delivery of Improvement Programe savings
- Business case development
- Finance processes

- Studying towards a CCAB qualification
- Educated to degree level
Desirable
- Full CCAB qualification. Equivalent experience will be taken into account where extensive experience can be demonstrated
Knowledge and Experience

- Significant work experience in a finance role
- Experience of working with financial systems, particularly, E-Financial and Excel
- Supporting information demonstrates an understanding of current NHS structures and policies

- Experience at managing staff
