Job summary
Two positions - Full and Part Time (37.5hours per week/15hours per week)
We require two experienced clinical photographers to join our team. The MSE department is a busy unit photographing approximately 18000 patients per year across three sites.
The MSE Medical Photography Department operate over three sites: Basildon, Broomfield and Southend University Hospitals. The postholder would be based at either Basildon or Broomfield Hospital with at least one working day at Southend Hospital per week.
Candidates should be Registered Medical Illustration Practitioners and possess the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Illustration, Post-experience Certificate (PEC), or an equivalent qualification.
Main duties of the job
Principle duties will be clinical photography for various specialties including Burns, Plastics, Dermatology and Tissue Viability. Experience of filming and editing video in a medical environment would be desirable as the department also undertakes this service for the Trust. Experience of Ophthalmic photography would also be desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, conscientious and be able to work independently. You will have sufficient computer skills and be familiar with Photoshop and Image Databases. As you will be expected to work closely with medical and support staff, good communication skills are essential.
