Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and resiliant person with previous experience working within bereavement or a similar discipline, to lead the Broomfield site team.

If successful ,you will be responsible for the day to day running of the site service and team and will ensure processes are adhered to and to ensure the needs of our bereaved families are met in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
- Ability to lead and act as an exemplary professional role model.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the team, providing expert advice and knowledge to the team and the bereaved.
- Possess exemplary advanced communications skills.
- Offer flexibility in the role and participate in 7 days working.
- Workin collaboration with the organisations, medical examiners.
- Ensure bereaved relatives are dealt with in a sympathetic manner.
- Manage complaints and deal with distressing situations, within own limitations.
- Liaise with medical staff regarding the prompt completion of the MCCD.
- Liaise with ward staff to ensure a smooth bereavement pathway for families.
- Ensure notification of death letters are sent to the deceased's GP,
- Ensure wards and departments have adequate bereavement information and resources.
- Arrange mortuary viewings for families and provide support during visits.
- Support the bereavement nurses with lasting memories/keepsakes for bereaved families.
- Assist the bereavement nurses to deliver education and training.
- Apply good health and safety practices and conduct risk assessments and audits as requested.
- Ensure sickness reviews, mandatory training and appraisals of staff are completed.
