Job summary

Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our obs and gynaecology team team as a Personal Assistant.

You will provide a comprehensive effective and efficient Personal Assistant service to the Gynaecology oncology consultants.

You will undertake a wide range of tasks including full inbox and diary management, minute taking and maintenance of action trackers and co-ordination of reports, presentations, and other correspondence. They will support the wider division with administration of projects and administrative tasks as agreed with the divisional leadership team.

Main duties of the job

Provide a full Personal Assistant service to the gynaecologist consultants to ensure the right focus is placed on priorities, planning, and organising complex activities including to maintain the clinically activity of the consultants and check clinics are fully utilised.

Essential

  • Foundation degree or NVQ Level 4
  • Relevant experience / vocational qualification

Desirable

  • Pitman or RSA typing up to Level III or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable secretarial experience working at director level.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrable understanding of confidentiality management
  • Demonstrable experience of using electronic environment for audit trail management.
  • Experience of taking minutes at formal meetings.
  • Experience in planning and prioritising tasks effectively

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience
