Applications are invited for Band 7 Neonatal Practice Development Nurse to work within our neonatal unit.

We have a 12 month fixed term position available (full-time / part-time / job-share considered), for individuals with a positive attitude and good communication skills, who are keen to share their clinical knowledge and experience to support and enhance the learning on the ward.

Our Neonatal Unit is situated within Broomfield Hospital, and is part of the East of England Operational Delivery Network. The Neonatal Ward is a Level 2 Local Unit and offers comprehensive neonatal services, which include Intensive Care cots, High Dependency cots, Special Care cots, and a Transitional Care Service.

We have achieved Gold Award Bliss Accreditation. We strive to provide high quality, safe and effective care and are looking for someone with the vision, skill and enthusiasm to help take the unit forward.

We have Stage 2 BFI and continue to work towards stage 3.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 7 Neonatal Practice Development Nurse, you will have the Neonatal Qualified in Speciality Course, NLS Course, Mentorship/Practice Assessor & Supervision (or equivalent) course, and have the vision and skills to faciliate high quality clinical learning for the current and future workforce.

As a senior member of the team, you will be a professional role model and enhance the clinical and learning environment, providing support to staff and students to provide excellent care to our neonatal patients and their families.

To be successful you will possess excellent organisational, communication and team working skills, and the ability to deliver high quality, holistic care with an emphasis on working in partnership with children and their families.
