Job summary

We are looking for a Head of Nursing to join Broomfield Hospital.

As the Head of Nursing, you will act as a professional resource and adviser, providing support and guidance on all matters concerning patient's including the protection of the vulnerable.

Ensuring that professional and practice developments within services meets national, local, and organisational priorities in relation to service modernisation, service delivery, clinical governance and leadership and will ensure that statuary procedures appropriately managed and delivered.

The Head of Nursing is integral to the delivery of safe, effective consistent and high-quality services for patients and their carer's and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team will be instrumental in promoting clinical excellence and best practice. Main duties of the job

To work as a triumvirate member of the team deputising for the Associate / Deputy Director of Nursing as appropriate.

The post holder will have a clear focus on the development of clinical staff and practices within the division, adopting innovative approaches to the enhancement of clinical effectiveness in order to improve the patient and carer experience.

Working collaboratively with executive and managing directors to deliver on national, CQC and local service standards, though the delivery of the annual plan and strategic objectives, though role modelling the values and behaviours set out in our Leadership and Management Behaviour Framework.

To take part in the trust-wide on call Rota, major incident, and capacity escalation.

  • Registered AHP, Nurse or Scientific Professional
  • Relevant Master's degree or equivalent or portfolio of evidence
  • Qualification in management or leadership or equivalent

Desirable

  • Project management qualification

  • Work history demonstrates use of research and audit tools
  • Evidence of resource management
