Job summary
The post involves taking responsibility for providing and maintaining a high standard of care to patients attending the Dermatology department following a diagnosis of skin cancer. Working closely with the band 7 skin cancer nurse caring and supporting patients through diagnosis and treatment. Our service covers MSE Trust, main hospitals Broomfield, Basildon and Southend. The candidate will have a grasp of Skin Cancer knowledge and be able to deploy in a supportive context, they will have knowledge in relation to Personalised Care against the Living With and Beyond Cancer metrics (LWBC 2019) and the cancer pathways across MSEFT.
Main duties of the job
Working with the nursing team and medical team, supporting outpatient clinics. Advise and support patients and junior colleagues in the delivery of specialist nursing care, to include specialist skin cancer care using a holistic approach to patient care.
