Job summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Midwife to join our team and help us provide midwifery care for pregnant women with pre-existing Diabetes or Gestational Diabetes.

You will get the opportunity to get involved with coordinating and developing services. Including supporting the Band 7 Diabetes Midwife to manage the strategic development and operational provision of the Diabetes service providing expert advice, leadership skills, and education to women with diabetes and all other Health Care professionals involved in their care.

Main duties of the job

If successful, you will support the Band 7 Diabetes Lead Midwife to work in collaboration with other multidisciplinary professionals enhancing and promoting the health and wellbeing of mothers and neonates in line with local and national standards relating to maternity care and referrals as appropriate.

In partnership with women and their families, you will provide support with planning and implementation of individualised care pathways, continually assessing, analysing, and determining appropriate courses of action.

You will be able to provide expert advice, support, training, and facilitation to the multi- professional team for the provision of up- to- date evidence-based information.
