Job summary

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team as an Administrator based at our Broomfield Hospital site.

As a Medical Workforce Administrator you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Workforce Adviser and Heads of Medical Workforce. To support the activities of the medical Workforce team which will include Re-validation, Appraisal and Doctor in training compliance.

Duties to be carried out in a professional manner that ensures a high level of customer service to all Trust customers, both internal and external.

Day to administrative duties includes responding to emails and telephone calls and ensuring a professional customer service is provided.

The Medical workforce Team is based on all 3 sites, Basildon, Broomfield and Southend.

THIS ROLE IS BASED AT BROOMFIELD HOSPITAL, CHELMSFORD

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative support for Revalidation and Appraisal, Doctors in Training and General support for the Medical workforce Function. Examples include:

  • To have an understanding of the Doctors in Training contract (2016), to support in the development of rotas.
  • To process junior doctor training grade rotations in a timely and consistent manner to ensuring the recruitment team are able to issue offers in line with the code of practice.
  • To send junior doctor training grade rotational changes and terminations to the payroll / transactional team ensuring these are processed within payroll processing timelines.
  • Maintain the department tracker for Medical Appraisals, ensure accurate and timely management of information / data. Responsible for reminder letters at 90,56 and 30 days.
  • To use the Trusts external system (Allocate) for managing the appraisal and e-360 feedback process.
  • To access GMC connect to review starters and leavers and doctors connection to the Trust for Revalidation purposes.
