Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the digital team on the joint MSE and EPUT electronic patient record (EPR) journey by joining the Nova Programme.
The post holder will be responsible for the establishment and management of effective stakeholder and engagement activity across the MSE/EPUT environment to promote and champion the EPR programme, working with the Change and Engagement Team.
Combining their knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts and change management, the post holder will contribute to the development of a digitally skilled workforce to promote safe, effective, high-quality care.
This role is essential to prioritising continuous improvements and engagement to the digital culture of the organisation. The post holder will be flexible and adaptable, champion and support the implementation of new digital solutions and business processes to culturally embed changes into services across the Programme.
Main duties of the job
- Oversee the digitisation of paper-based documentation and the management and optimisation of existing digital documentation processes within the Programme.
- Develop strategies to harmonise different approaches to digital record keeping and work with internal and external governance partners to review and adopt policies and standards that supports high quality patient records, and digital documentation best practices.
- Work with governance groups to develop and maintain the documentation standards and protocols for digital record-keeping.
- Gain an in depth understanding of existing national and local data reporting requirements and work with Business Intelligence to ensure that the new digital forms and processes support these reporting requirements, and that the data would continue to generate insights that inform clinical and operational decision-making within the Trust.
- Engage with the Information Governance team to ensure compliance of digital documentation to IG guidelines and best practices.
- Participate in the design and acceptance testing of the digital forms to ensure that it is fit for purpose and meets operational and clinical requirements.
- Provide support, advice, and assistance to clinical staff during the rollout and post-implementation, addressing user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on digital form usage and navigation.
