Job summary

Are you looking for a new role that is interesting, and varied with high levels of responsibility?

You will work closely with medical students, doctors in training, locally employed doctors, College Tutors, GPs and Consultants to ensure that high quality training and educational needs are met throughout the Trust and community.

You must be able to use initiative to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines and you will possess excellent communication skills. In addition to the above, tasks include support to the Site Medical Education Manager as well as organising and coordination of educational events, managing complex databases and preparing and collating qualitative and quantitative reports.

Main duties of the job

  • Work in close partnership with range of hospital medical colleagues and external healthcare professionals and will be required to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Utilise virtual, telephone, email and face to face contact to enable effective and efficient communication.
  • Arrange meetings and development and circulation of materials such as agenda, programmes, minutes and action trackers to an excellent standard
  • Manage calls in an effective and efficient manner, screening and diverting calls where necessary and demonstrating an excellent knowledge and understanding of processes across the medical education department.
  • Ability to defuse and manage difficult conversations with tact, diplomacy and discretion.
  • To update and maintain medical student/trainee portfolios and prepare and support end of placement/annual reviews as required
  • Undertake general administrative duties including managing and analysing complex databases, spreadsheets and other documents in line with the requirements of the medical education team.
  • Manage and maintain effective systems for all projects ensuring deadlines are met as required.
