Job summary
We are looking for a motivated individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team as an Administrative Assistant.
You will work as part of the hospital Domestic department responding to requested clerical support and ensuring the smooth running of the Domestic Office. The post holder will need to be polite, helpful, and discreet. Computer skills are essential for this post.

Main duties of the job
Duties to include but not limited to inputting and maintaining team databases, maintaining safe and efficient filing systems for security of record-keeping.
Providing advice, support, and guidance to staff on a range of matters relating to operational/ training requirements of the Facilities Department.
Maintaining supplies for the Domestic Office, raising requisitions via E-Financials as and when necessary for authorisation by the budget holder and checking the delivery order when received.
Attending team meetings and taking minutes as required, coordinating staff diaries and preparing the agenda and register.
Maintaining effective office management systems, including filing, photocopying and the scanning of documents.
Maintaining the required level of stationery and ensuring that all office equipment is in good working order and fit for purpose.
Receiving telephone and general enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner; responding to telephone queries in a timely manner, directing calls appropriately and taking accurate messages.
Undertaking a range of administrative duties delegated by other staff within the Domestic team.A
ttending Department/Directorate, briefings, meetings, and mandatory/non mandatory training courses.
Maintaining the sickness absence tracker and working with managers and supervisors to present sickness absence data in a format for analysis.
Ensuring that sickness absence data from team members is collected and inputted in a timely fashion.
