Job summary

We are seeking registered nurses to work within our Endoscopy team. The ward you will be working on is busy and demanding but also rewarding and challenging with opportunities to learn and develop.With a firm belief in education you will be supported in your nursing development with an open door policy to the senior sister so you know you can always rely on having an ear to discuss your future and progress.We strive to treat all staff fairly with respect and to develop you in your chosen pathway so that we mutually benefit from working together to give the best patient care we can.You will need very good communication skills to network closely with other departments and multidisciplinary teams, and excellent patient care to manage your caseload of patients.

Main duties of the job

Access, plan, implement, evaluate, holistic, high quality and individualised care which respects patient personal dignity and beliefs

Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff

Maintain and promote effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives and visitors

Act as a mentor to students and newly qualified staff including teaching and assessing, within their realm of competence, upholding the philosophy of evidence based practice

Assist in the management of the ward budget and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained advising of any shortfalls and taking action appropriate to their level of expertise.

Maintain a professional profile and develop skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust Policies and Procedures
