Job summary
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.
You will lead and supervise the booking and administration teams in providing a Temporary Staffing service to all MSE Trust Managers, Staff Bank members. To act as first point of contact for Staff Bank members and candidates interested in becoming Staff Bank members.
You will provide general support service as required by Staff Bank members and work as part of the Staff Bank Team at a supervisory level. Be responsible for keeping accurate attendance records and is expected to contribute to workforce planning.
The role will require the Senior Booking Officer to act as the key trainer to new starters within the team and act as a mentor.
You will also be involved in achieving divisional workforce and Temporary Staffing objectives and improving staff engagement and workforce key performance indicators in their assigned areas. The role requires working at a supervisory level to be engaged in the provision of a customer focused Temporary Staffing service and the development of improvement plans.

Main duties of the job
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Booking Officer to support the Team based at Britannia Park. This is a supervisory role, working alongside other senior team members to manage the booking officers in the Temporary Staffing hub.
You will manage the team who deal with a high volume of phone calls, liaising with Ward staff, Department Managers and Stake Holders to discuss temporary staffing cover requirements. You will manage bookings of our large in-house banks, and also be required to support the management team with allocation of day to day duties for Booking Officers and act as a point of contact for team queries.
Ideally candidates will have a knowledge of NHS hospitals, have supervisor experience and have used booking data bases previously.
In addition to booking staff you will be required to assist with the recruitment function of bank staff on to the in-house bank, as well as HR functions including One to Ones and Appraisals, therefore experience in this area will be an advantage.
You will work for 37.5 hours per week. Primary Schedule: 0900 -1700 Monday to Friday (5 x 7.5 hour shifts) including bank holidays. In the event of service need demand, your shift may be changed to work within Temporary Staffing opening hours of 0630 - 2030 Monday to Sunday.
