Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Laser Therapy department.
This vacancy is a full time position, however part time may also be considered.
We are looking for a Band 5 Trainee laser practitioner/Registered nurse to work with the Laser therapy lead in providing specialist laser treatment for patients with a variety of conditions following a burn injury or plastic surgery.
You would need to be an enthusiastic and highly motivated practitioner and be able to deliver a high standard of care within this specialist area. Ideally you would have an interest in completing further training and an opportunity to potentially progress to a Band 6 with the successful completion of competencies.
Main duties of the job
Provide a high standard of individulised care for patients undergoing laser treatment for a variety of Plastic surgical and Burns related conditions.
Work towards being an autonomous practitioner who is responsible for the delivery of care for patients attending the laser therapy service in St. Andrews Centre for Burns and plastic surgery.
Is responsible for supporting the Laser therapy lead in the maintenance of health and safety for patients' , visitors and other staff members and in the safe delivery laser therapy treatment.
Demonstrates willingness in completing training in order to complete competencies upon successful completion potentially leading to Band 6.
