This Anchor Programme Employment Support Officer vacancy is full time and available as a secondmentwithin the Mid and South Essex area as part of the awarding winning `Anchor Ambition' project.

The project will use the local status and visibility of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

The pilot's primary focus will be moving people living in the most deprived areas in Mid and South Essex who are unemployed or economically inactive, towards work at either Southend, Basildon or Broomfield Hospital or broader health and care sector.

Main duties of the job

As the Anchor Programme Employment Support Officer you will be required to proactively manage a caseload of people who live in the most disadvantaged areas of Essex and who require employment support.

You will work directly with the participants and all relevant stakeholders; community based support, external referring agencies, Job Centre Plus and learning providers to enable participant's to gain and retain employment.

You will be expected to work autonomously to maintain a caseload of participants and to ensure that they are matched, in line with their preferences, to local NHS or health care sector jobs.

You will be required to undertake regular audit of programme and participate in team and programme surveys.

You will generally be expected to undertake your normal duties at the principal place of work, which is a hybrid model of home and community work. However, in the course of your duties you may also be required to work at any of the sites within the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust areas as well as other NHS and partners sites as part of the delivery of the programme.
