Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a part time driver to work within our MSE Transport Department based at Broomfield Hospital.
Candidates will have previous experience working as a courier driver with the ability to drive and park a tail lift vehicle in tight spaces. The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic, multi-skilled team who are proud to deliver a high-quality service.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the transportation of items across Trust sites, doctor's surgeries, and other NHS organisations on an ad-hoc or planned basis. These items are essential to patient care, such as medication, medical equipment, specimens, patient notes and more.
Responsible for transport of mail, reports on results, pathology specimens, drugs, patient notes and blood between doctors' surgeries, clinics and pathology service - and mail, pharmacy, bloods and machinery between hospitals, clinics, doctors' surgeries, private addresses, schools, colleges, universities, nursing homes, etc. within the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS.

Responsible for transporting personnel safely, in and outside the borders of Mid Essex Hospitals boundaries in a safe and efficient manner.To train and adhere to the standard of transporting pathology specimens and HSDU materials and in accordance with the transport procedures and safety, including infection control.
