Job summary
We are looking for a friendly, organised administrator to work within our CTC pathology department.
Your role will be to provide administrative support to the Consultant Histopathologist as well as booking samples in and out of the department to send to our laboratory.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve the co-ordination, monitoring and initiation of appropriate changes within administrative processes along the patient pathway to ensure the patient's journey is managed efficiently, smoothly and in accordance with targets and agreed timescales utilising computerised tracking systems to locate case notes and investigation results.
You will liaise with teams outside of the specialty e.g., GPs where appropriate to ensure a seamless patient journey., ensuring patient information is maintained and updated on the appropriate patient information system and achievement of agreed KPI's.
