Job summary

An exciting new opportunity has become available within the Cardiology team at Southend Hospital.

We are looking for a test tracking to join our team on a full time permanent basis.

You will work within the Cardiology admin team to ensure the admin processes are followed for patient diagnostic tests to help the wider team deliver safe and effective services.

Main duties of the job

You will need the ability to prioritise your own workload, using own judgement to action and escalate as appropriate emails/correspondence to Cardiology diagnostics supervisor/manager, prioritising clinically urgent results according to clinical guidance and according to Trust policy and deal with test results queries face to face and by telephone from staff, patients, and the general public in a courteous, confidential and sensitive manner with tact and diplomacy.

Promoting good relations and the public image of the department whilst providing efficient and open communication with your team, adhering to administration procedures and generate appointments ensuring compliance with processes, procedures, policies and governance requirements in order to provide a safe, professional, efficient, cost effective and comprehensive service.

You will work closely with departmental supervisors/managers in order to understand the team priorities on a day
