Job summary
Ophthalmology is looking for a RTT Pathway/Harm Review Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive team where you will work within the Ophthalmology Department based at Broomfield, facilitating the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
As an RTT Pathway/Harm Review Coordinator you will support the clinical team, Operational Manager and other Divisional managers in ensuring the specialty are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g. the 18 weeks Referral to Treatment target.
Please be aware that this role is based at Broomfield Hospital.
Main duties of the job
You will co-ordinate, monitor and initiate appropriate changes within administrative processes along the patient pathway to ensure the patient's journey is managed efficiently, smoothly and in accordance with targets and agreed timescales.
Working with the divisional administrative teams, you will provide assistance with harm reviews and coordinate external reviews when necessary, oversee and administrate the harm review process within the trust for 52+ week RTT breaches and liaise with the service managers and divisional governance facilitators in the trust over discrepancies regarding relevant specialties.
Your role will involve co-ordinate and assist with the data inputting for monitoring and projecting performance and ensuring the harm review processes are running efficiently and meeting necessary deadlines.
