Job summary

An exciting registered staff nurse opportunity has arisen to join our Gynaecology Outpatients Clinic.

As a registered nurse you will be expected to:

  • Provide and maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care for the patients and ensure that an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the patients, offering a positive patient experience.
  • Follow the guidelines on maintaining patients' notes and documentation of care given. To be aware of the legal implications of these documents and the importanceof ensuring legibility and accuracy of nursing records at all time.
  • Ensure good communication exists between all healthcare professionals working within the department and promote harmonious working relationships and safe working practices, must be able to work as part of a team, and autonomously.

Main duties of the job

  • Act at all times in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
  • To maintain a professional demeanor at all times in line with the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Policy for Uniform and the NMC Code
  • To maintain professional and personal development in accordance with Revalidation requirements through the annual appraisal, personal development plans, portfolio development and reflective writing skills.
  • Ensure all nursing records are completed in accordance with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust policies and NMC standards for records and record keeping.
