Job summary
Applications are invited for a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, with experience in Trans catheter aortic Valve intervention (TAVI)
You will be joining the interventional cardiology team at CTC, consisting of 2 consultants and supported by two dedicated nurses. The successful applicant with suitable experience will be able to join the TAVI team full time to facilitate a planned business case approved expansion in TAVI service.

Clinical Duties
- Day-to-day responsibility for patients on the ward and will take part in consultant ward rounds.
- Ensure that GP e-discharge letters containing all relevant information are sent.
- Give advice when required to clinical nurse practitioners and junior medical staff where appropriate.
- Ensure case notes are properly completed, drug prescriptions are regularly reviewed, appropriate investigations are carried out and results acted upon and made available for consultant ward rounds.
- Provide cover for colleagues annual leave and other authorised absence.
- To work flexibly with colleagues to achieve the hospital agreed planned activity for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Ensure that standards are developed through clinical audit, evidence based research and appraisal.
- Ensure all inpatients are reviewed every 24 hours by a senior doctor.
