Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to appoint a Staff Engagement Lead. You will work within the Organisational Development team to lead all areas of staff engagement and staff benefits ensuring our staff feel connected, equipped and engaged throughout their employment at MSE.

You will lead strategically on the NHS People Promise 'We each have a voice that counts' to build and maintain an effective staff voice across the organisation that is responsive and supported.

You will lead on events management, staff surveys and data analysis as well as building relationships with key internal and external partners to develop and maintain the benefits package for all our staff.

Working with the Head of Culture and other members of the OD team you will also oversee reward and recognition strategies for the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To work with the People and OD team to create the conditions in which employees at the Trust can thrive and work to their best.

Key deliverables:

  • To improve employee experience through applying insights from the NHS Staff Survey and People Pulse Survey into organisational development initiatives with a focus on retention
  • To ensure the NHS Staff Survey and People Pulse surveys run smoothly and participation increases over the year
  • Be accountable for the delivery of Monthly Values Awards, Welcome Induction Programme and Long Service Award events
  • Work with colleagues in developing and capacity and capability in organisational development using business partnering principles.
