Job summary

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of our friendly team.

Being a band 5 nurse you will be helping with admissions, transfers and discharges from ED of surgical and urology patients to a busy surgical assessment unit.

You will provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the sisters /Charge nurse in driving quality care provision forward.

Be responsible for standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area in partnership with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.

Taking urology admissions from Basildon.

Assisting the sisters and ward managers.

Main duties of the job

Admitting, transferring and discharging surgical and urology patients from Broomfield and Basildon.

Relevant nursing tasks including (but not restricted to) drug administration, wound care, drain care, pre and post operative care, personal care, pressure area care etc.

Completing relevant nursing paperwork and assessments.

Liaising with Senior staff and bed management to keep the patient flow.
