Job summary

Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our pathology team at Basildon as a PA.

You will undertake the administration duties for Joint Venture Consultant Subgroup Meetings, Microbiology, Haematology Histopathology Mortuary, arranging rooms, Venues, agenda, terms of reference and attendance.

You will ensure complete confidentiality regarding matters and issues raised by senior Management. You will prepare statistical information for presentation to the cancer board. You will deal with telephone enquiries relating to all aspects of Pathology. You will raise and track orders on E financials and Lyreco for MSE. You will also participate in annual joint review (appraisal)

Main duties of the job

- Attend various meetings both internally and externally as required

- To Liase with other departments within the Trust.

- To arrange, attend and take minutes for appropriate Pathology meetings.

- Discretion and trustworthiness dealing with confidential information.

- To organise and maintain multiple diaries

- To organise monthly meetings for different departments with Pathology and keep the meeting invitation up to date with new information and documents.

- To follow policies and standard operating procedures and comment on their content.

- The ability to work in a high pressured environment

- The ability to work alone for stretched periods of time

- To possess a tidy work area along with the cleaning of their work area

- To keep an organized working environment, Desk, Filing and Digital folders.
