Job summary

This position requires you to support the Clinical Leads, Matrons and Theatre Manager in the general management at unit level, ensuring the team is dedicated to delivering excellent care throughout the patient's journey.

You will be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide additional support when required for any other specified area within Theatres.

You will be responsible for sharing the workload through teamwork.

You need to be visionary and dynamic to assist the Clinical Leads, Matrons and Theatre Manager in driving the team forward in a rapidly changing environment, to assist in developing and managing junior member of the team.

Main duties of the job

Assumes responsibility to assist in running The Theatre Admission and Day Stay TADSU effectively to meet patient care needs

Assisting with co-ordinating the staffing rosters to ensure appropriate and safe staffing levels in all areas where TADSU staff operate

Assist in the management of the budget and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained

Supports the manager in Identifying and managing resources, staff, and equipment and stock.

Communicates effectively with manager, nursing staff and clinicians regarding the changing status of the department

Anticipates needs, problems and assists in developing a reasonable action plan to reduce the likelihood of problems going unattended

Delivers expert patient care for the patient and the service and assures that all care givers within this area of responsibility do the same

Flexible shift pattern to facilitate safe and effective staffing of the department.
