Job summary

We are seeking to recruit Admin/reception staff to join our friendly team on Notley Ward, 28 bedded Orthopeadic Trauma ward. We are a busy unit with a high turnover of patients.

Previous experience is not necessary, although favorable. You must meet the essential criteria needed for the role outlined in the Job Description.

Main duties of the job

The role comprises of reception work and day to day ward administration. You will be the first point of contact for many patients and relatives as they enter the unit, so a friendly and professional demeanor is a must.

You will be required to use the hospital computer systems i.e. Lorenzo, tele tracking etc. Experience with using these systems would be preferred but not essential.

Ensuring patient admission records are kept up to date both in medical notes and on the required computer systems.

Supporting the team by answering the phones and dealing with any queries. Ensuring that computer systems are up to date and reflect the patients coming in and out of the unit. To go to other wards around the hospital to collect notes.

Working alongside the patient flow coordinator.
