We are looking for an individual with experience and proven skills in reception work, administration and telephone appointment center's.
We are looking for a candidate who has excellent people skills.
The perfect candidate will join our large, busy and friendly Radiology Admin Team.
The role will include performing specialised reception cover, booking specialised Imaging appointments and administrative duties, also dealing with queries face to face and over the phone. You will be front line in meeting and welcoming patients, visitors and staff to the department and therefore you must be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
This role will be cover the Basildon Hospital site, which include Orsett Hospital, Brentwood Community Hospital and St Andrews Billericay.
The Ideal candidate will have these desired skills and attributes, but training will also be given;
- Experience in working in a patient / customer facing role.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Work accurately and calmly under pressure.
- High level of computer literacy.
- To be able to multi-task.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Flexibility to cover colleague absence
- Flexibility to change days / hours if needed.
Main duties of the job
The Job is37.5 hours per week, we work various shifts over 5 daysfrom Monday to Sunday, different shift patterns and weekend work applies to this role. Our departmentis open from 8am to 8pm, and anexample of different shifts could be 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm, all shifts will be on a Rota.
The role will cover different reception areas and a call centre within the main Basildon site and 3 offsite locations where we run services, they are;
- Main X-Ray department
- Ultrasound Department
- CTC Reception
- Courtyard MRI and CT
- Maternity Ultrasound reception
- Orsett X-ray Department
- St. Andrews Centre, Billericay
- Brentwood Community Hospital, X-ray Department
This Role will be based at Basildon Hospital, but you will be at times required to cross site cover at one of our other Sites - Southend or Broomfield Hospital.
The main duties of this role will include Reception work - checking in and out patients, dealing with patient queries, and booking appointments.
