Job summary

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.

We have an opening for a Unified Communications Technician to be a part of the Unified Communications Team focusing on delivering the new Ring Central UC Platform and both high quality and reliable support of the group's existing VoiP & Analogue infrastructures across three acute trusts and expanding into the wider local health economy.

You will directly support the Trusts Digital Services Unified Communication & existing telephony platforms, in connection with Digital Services infrastructure issues.

Main duties of the job

The Unified Communications Technician post is a key position requiring a dedicated self-motivated capable individual ensuring the reliable and efficient support to our existing analogue & VoiP telephone infrastructures, comprising of CS1K/Avaya, Cisco Call Manager, Liberty Netcall, Redbox, Multitone Bleeps, Tiger Call logging & STCM systems, also involvement with new Unified Ring Cental platform. The role will require close liaison with Digital Services Service Delivery teams & external support organisations to ensure the Trusts published service level agreements are met.

You must be self-directed and able to work autonomously with the ability to interpret technical policies. The individual will be dealing with and process confidential Trust data.

You need to be able to implement and support technical solutions across the MSE Group, in the process liaising with and managing third party suppliers, short-term contractors and Trust staff as necessary. The post holder should have exposure to PRINCE 2 project management and have a strong understanding of ITIL service management methodologies.

You will be expected to assist the 3rd Line Technical Consultants and support organisations, in designing, developing and implementing complex technical solutions.

The MSE Group has a range of telepony platforms, both analogue & VoiP supporting key business and clinical departments. Qualifications

Essential

  • As a minimum the post holder should have a good standard of general education, ideally with a relevant degree in subject or suitable experience.
  • Qualification or equivalent knowledge of Ring Central, Analogue, & VoiP systems, ( Avaya CS1K, Netcall Contact centre and/or Cisco communication systems and technologies ). IT service or service delivery also beneficial

Desirable

  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certificate
  • PRINCE/Agile Foundation Certificate

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in an IT service management environment
  • Experience of supporting analogue and/or digital communications systems

  • Experience of delivering services in a 24 hour environment
